Mark speaks the truth Great book. It is very eye opening for people who don't realize how much our media and gov't manipulate us and stories. A lot of people don't know history and how much the media has been involved with the CIA and FBI and the rest of our federal gov't to create stories, manipulate events, etc. You don't just have to take Mark's word for it. It is a part of history and there is plenty of evidence at the National Archives and Library of Congress and in history books, etc. about how the CIA has used the media (with their consent) to manipulate the citizens of the USA and the world. We need more people like Mark who will get the truth out there.I had a teacher in the 8th grade teach my class to not believe everything we read in the media. A lot of students don't get that kind of teaching and people believe everything they read or see in the media and trust the media and gov't blindly.This guy with $50 keyboard and camera from department store has more passionate following and viewership and influence then CNN This is great retrospection on media and events from early 2015 till almost the end of 2017. Mark Dice is pretty sane and sharp guy with healthy overdose of humor. His channel went from pretty much digging around various conspiracy theories into society and cultural criticism and finally with election season of 2016 he found great success as a news presenter and commentator. I have noticed work of Mark Dice few years ago when he was walking around collecting signatures to repeal 'Bill of Rights' or some other utter stupid things like for example introduce Sharia law in United States and people were signing without even thinking what they are doing. He demonstrated that people value more bar of chocolate then real silver bar and spend money they do not have in mind-controlled shopping hysteria like Black Friday. All that time he was exposing how Hollywood, mass media and other scam on positions of power, as he depict them under term "Illuminati" manipulate people and do not have best interest of masses in mind. I know many people will hate this book because it expose illusions and face them with lies in which they were living whole their life. It is very painful experience and exposing people to such a sever shift in worldview may be very hard especially if person try to understand what Mark is trying to explain to them. I believe a person that is not ready to be awakened may experience severe soul pain and Mark forgot to put "Trigger warning" on the cover but still I believe for awakened people this is going to be great laugh and joy to read pages and see how death of media complex is unravelling and humanity awakening while people that still caught in nets of news manipulators may feel really bad but after few weeks I believe healing effects of truth will be refreshing.Surprisingly Balanced and Made Me Question My Leanings A few months ago, I discovered Mr. Dice when I saw a video where of one of my favorite YouTubers Cenk Uygur became more extremely irate than I've ever seen when Alex Jones arrived at his event. I didn't approve of Alex very much, but found Mark and watched a few of his videos. Mark can use comedic irony quite well, and I watched his videos from time to time despite any resentment I felt towards his views.Initially, I set out to get this book to try and prove it wrong once and for all. That proved to be a more difficult task than I thought. Most if not all of the claims in this book are quite plausible and are even backed up by reality.This led me to begin pondering how the world truly operates. Since then, I've realized how arbitrary many of my premises are. One example is how I used to believe my virtue signaling made me a superior person. The last few weeks I've realized the world doesn't care what I feel unless it is linked to action based in reality. This has been a painful loss, but it is time to grow up since there is no better option.Compared to Mark's YouTube videos, this book was less about ridicule and more about stating his case, although sometimes he couldn't resist taking a jab here or there. This is my main critique of this book, however it is not overboard.The book mainly enumerated the many ways information about a given event or fact has been twisted into a narrative designed to smear and/or mislead. I've learned about this in a few media study courses during my education. Additionally, I've bought a few books that delve more deeply into this topic, but Mark's book goes much deeper. (My previous favorite was Ryan Holiday's book)Personally, I'd like to see a few chapters about criticizing sites such as Breitbart. That is another of my contentions. But, the premise of this book rails more strongly against the establishment media... A new light shines on the people I idolized.My verdict is every political and news junkie should buy this book. It is a good addition to my study of politics and the media. This is a 300+ page book, but I was able to finish it in 4 hours or so since it flows smoothly between topics. The real rating I'd give is 4.4 out of 5 stars.
